The Old Chapel is an imaginative, ingenious conversion of a former 100-year-old ‘New Congregational Church’ created through the inspired vision of Highfield Developments and architect Robert Stevenson Associates RIBA.

The ‘wow’ factor is created by a wealth of curves and sweeping lines throughout the interior, giving an over-riding impression of space, scale and light. As the entire facade was not altered, the chapel’s windows on the lowest level were situated high on the walls, the accommodation in the houses was reversed, with the bathrooms and bedrooms placed on the ground floor.

The designs effortlessly incorporate many of the chapel’s original features, including exposed timbers, windows and brickwork, stone/timber columns, red tiled floor and large internal doors. Even the collection box on the back of the front door in Plot One has been kept as a feature.
